Glenda Neufeld – Breast Thermography

Glenda moved to Vancouver Island two years ago and is loving the ocean, the lifestyle and meeting people who are taking charge of their health! She finds it very rewarding to help empower women, and working with the Macdonald Center for Natural Medicine is a natural fit!

Breast Thermography is a radiation-free, non-compression method of testing for the risk of developing breast cancer. It is based on the scientific premise that before the growth of abnormal cells can occur, an increased blood supply must be circulated to the growth area. Medical infrared technology can identify areas of abnormal, asymmetrical thermal patterns often associated with underlying pathology. This early warning system gives the opportunity for intervention and prevention.

Thermography is a great gift to women of all ages who want to be pro-active. Early breast exams can provide a valuable baseline from which to measure future breast health and potential risk factors. Women with dense or fibrocystic breasts, women who have had inconclusive mammograms, and women with implants are among those who will benefit from thermographic monitoring.

Cranial/dental/thyroid, as well as full body thermography exams, are also available and provide an additional literal picture that may help identify and monitor dental pathology, inflammatory conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain and nerve issues, to name a few.
